Child lockout on 2015 gps

Had an interesting event with my 2015 GT last weekend. Wife was driving and I was playing with the tomtom. I was hovering my finger over the right side of the screen and all of a sudden a message flashes the child lock has been activated!. Afterward I could only change routes. Settings was not even an option. Could not find a way to deactivate the child lock. When we got home and it sat for about an hour everything was normal. I looked through the manual and on line and found no mention of a child lock.

Did I miss this in the manual? Thanks for your input. ( If there is a child lock how do you turn it off other than let it sit for an hour?)

Found out there is safety lockout on the gps so you can't fiddle with the settings while moving. Could not find it in the manual but it was mentioned on a video review.

Did the message actually say "Child Lock" or did it say "Safety Lock"? In the 2013-2015s we have the safety lock that activates above ~5 km/h.

Safety lock--
