PM with more info please, I would like to get involved in something this this as well. I always wanted to get into the whole track thing. Plus when I finish my Suzuki Samurai project (hopefully by Dec, 21 2012) That will be a great track car.

wellp..... here is the main club http://www.mcscc.org/

here is my local club for $65 you dont have to join but if you do race more than one event it pays for its self. http://www.cscc-racing.com/homeIndex.htm

they use this to help you pre register for the races (no charge till you get there)
http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventList.Show?psTEXT=midwestern+council not much right now since there's snow down duh.

the high speed autocross is what I did. it super safe and if its you first on track (or you cant afford to kill your daily driver) its perfect. each race is about 95 to 130 depending if you joined a local club.

if you car is stock all youll need is a helmet, if not then a at least a 4 point harness and a helmet.

plan on spending about another $75 on food and gas. you can show up the day before or camp at the track the night before so you dont have to wake up at the ass crack of dawn to stand in line just to miss you first practice session.

Im down this year for helping in the pit lane, but I need some time off from the drivers seat due to racing is expensive.

so no license no insane requirements its pretty much a one day thing.

Ill be joining http://www.nasaproracing.com/index.html in two years from now so next (not this coming) summer I will be getting my license and getting my car up to there safety codes and then racing with them. (provided gass isint $10 or something)

so any more questions and Id be happy as **** to help since I really dont want to take any time off from the track.

any update on the camera wilson can they get it?
Yeah, they looked 15min b4 the time it happen and after. Guess what you have to love Chicago guy said that they did not get the car on camera (sad2), so its up to me to fix the car. I will post photo l8tr 2nite.

Sorry to hear that, bro. Some people here are idiots..even when there is snow/ice on the road they drive 50mph.

Well I finally posted the photo, found out I need a wheel well cover also. It's not as bad as I first thought, for now I just replaced the headlight and popped the fender out. I need to find a shop that will paint it first before I put the new fender on.
