Cheese Wheel 450 Rally/Cruise

I just wanted to give you a heads up on an event scheduled for this summer. A couple friends of mine are holding a cross wisconsin cruise from Racine to Superior on August 5. Its called the Cheese Wheel 450. It is a charity fundraising event for Lou Gehrig's disease and Childrens hospital of Wisconsin.
I believe there will be scheduled events when we reach superior. They are working with a local car club in superior to posibly set up an autocross or some other form of entertainment. More details will be available on the website www.cheesewheel450.com

So far we have an EVO and a few Miatas as well as a few others but we need some protege's(so I dont get lonely). I have heard rumors of cookies and donuts! We are pushing for the Cheese Wheel to become Wisconsins Gumball I think It could be done.

On April 6th we are going to present the Cheese Wheel 450 to the madison sports car club and get as many recruits as possible. Wish us luck!

Awesome! sounds good, we are working on getting big magnets of the cheese wheel logo for doors and hoods. And the lawyer work is almost done, we're movin up! I will keep the information coming as we work through it.

Ok This it it! We are officially recognized by the state of Wisconsin as a charity organization. We got the stamp last week and the board of members is growing strong and steady. We have a lot of support from surounding cities and many interested participants. Feel free to post with any questions or comments reguarding the Cheese Wheel 450. Jim

CW450 Update

Hey for anyone interested.....Just a little update on the Cheese Wheel. Last weekend we had a board meeting and got a lot of stuff done. We added some more info and buttons and other misc. goodies to the website and.....dun dun dun... a more recent picture of my car is up there (thankfully). As far as turnout goes there are just about to 20 cars in which we are fired up about having along for the ride. We also added a few new sponsors to the list. Marley's in Wisconsin Dells will be hosting a lunch at our first checkpoint as well as roping off the parking lot for us Cheesewheelers. yay

Almost time to rally

Hey Long time no see!
Now under 1 month till the Cheese Wheel 450 (Starts Aug 5 in Racine)

Just checking to see if anybody is interested in joining us for the rally.

I have been working hard on getting so many things ready for this years Cheese Wheel 450. We were just featured in the Beaver Dam area's Daily Citizen news paper in a full page article! We are now waiting to hear back about possible television news coverage!
Its official that we have about 20 or more cars signed up and registered to rally. There will be police escorts through Racine and Wisconsin Dells, as well as a nice dinner in Superior. There are still rooms on hold for us at Barkers Island Inn in Superior so if you are interested in comming you can still get registered and the info for that is at www.cheesewheel450.com

The Cheeswheel was great this year. We had a lot of interest and a great ride to superior. The weather was great and so were the roads. We had donuts and other freebies. 2007 Cheese Wheel 450

Hey all,
We are getting ready and only 3 months away from the 2007 Cheesewheel 450. This year we have some exciting news with some new sponsors on board. Oakley and DC shoes have agreed to sponsor this years event and should bring some great new faces to the rally. This is probably the most fun you can have helping out those faced with ALS or Lou Gherig's Disease, as well as supporting Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. I will be coming to the 07 spring meet in Mt. Horeb. Bring your co-driver!
