Anybody seen the new Dtec that hooks up to a nintendo gameboy advance?

Seems cool. Thoughts?

yeah, that. Will this unit work as a piggy back with our ecu?
It would have to be tested, but I don't see why not. Of course, you'd probably need signal modifiers. I do believe they are just doing it as a fuel computer though.

Thats cool as hell. *subscribes for further info*

Definately. But does it work?

looking over the site it seems that only a "gauge" option is availible at the moment with datalogging and fuel/time control comming later.

Time will tell. You'd just have to wait for updates. I know microtech has an EMS that TurfBurn is working on. They have a DASH unit, which provides alot of data, shift lights, etc. It also works for tuning the unit itself, it's something like 350 bucks. Which isn't too bad considering what it does. Or if you just want something to tune, they have a handheld tuner for about 130 or so.

Can you link me to more info on this? I am going to call turboxs to find out today about their unit.

i called TurboXS and the cust svc lady I spoke to didn't seem to think it would work for our cars. this interfaces with thier UTEC engine management system which doesn't have our cars in mind :(

side note - they are working on a touch screen variant for the Nintendo DS
