check engine light

when i took the plastic air funnel parts on the intake ( the two peices before the filter ) the check engine light came on. will the motor adjust, or is thi nor good to run it like that?

ive had mine like that for quite a while now and havent had a problem yet. you probably just need to reset the ecu. remove the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and pump your brakes a couple times, then hook it back up and go for a drive. it should be fine after that.
