Changing transmission for activematic

It is a classic case of the wife that does not want to drive standard :(

Is there hope on the horizon

Do you think it would possible to change the automatic transmission for the new activematic on my P5 ?

What would be involved ... price ?

Is it cheaper to get a new tranny or get rid of my wife (smash)

I'd say get rid of the wife :) j/k.

Swapping in an automatic will require an electronic control module. For this module to work, it'd need a place to connect (I.E. wiring harness), which i'm 99.5% sure that your car does not have, being a standard. You'd also need items such as the torque converter, master cylinder, gear shifter, computer, harness, etc. There's many other areas that'd need attention to successfully complete the swap. Honestly, IMO, it's more trouble than it's worth.

THX guys.

It looks like it is going to be a big deal ...

I'll start by shopping for a new girl. I will have to reverse the
selection criterias:
1st criteria: need to drive standard or have her own car.
2nd criteria: a babe.

(drinks) :)
