Changing air filter in 2007 Mazda 3 2.3

Hello all....

Forgive me as I am new to Mazda (and want to learn more); but I have a question about switching my air filter out. I see about where it is sitting and just wanted to know what exactly is involved before I started to disconnect things, etc. what the correct process is.

Can someone shed some light on exactly HOW to get the old air filter out and the one in?

Sorry, I don't know if there's a correct procedure that can be done, but here's what I do...

Open up the air box (on the MS3 I think there's ~3 metal clips that must be undone), pull out the old filter, then just put in a new filter. Make sure nothing is bound-up in there I guess, then close the box back up and reattach the clips.
