I am going to install a used center console from a 2001 626 into my 1999 626. They are pretty much interchangeable as to size and mounting infrastructure. The 2000-2002 console are more feature rich than the 98-99 ones - covered cup holders, coin slots, upper tray to hold MP3 player, cell phones, etc. and an aux 12V outlet in the bottom part of the center armrest storage area.
However, I'm not sure how I'm going to connect the aux 12V outlet. The 2001 console comes with a wiring tail and connector from the outlet that plugged into a power source beneath the console. I doubt that my '99 has this power source available to it since the
12V outlet was not a standard or optional feature on it.
Anybody know if there is something to plug into or, if not, where I can get power for this outlet wire?
