Cel P0401????

I had to take my car into the dealer for a CEL just yesterday. I used to work there so my old co-workers really try to keep me in the loop with whats up with my car. Mark and I scanned the car and came up wit a code P 0401 wich is the EGR excessive flow code. He printed out a list with about 4 possible causes for the CEL. I have just over 40K miles so the warranty would not cove the repairs so I just had him clear the code. He assured me that it would come back but after 2 days of driving it has yet to come back on. Is it possible that it was just a fluke and will not come back? Has anyone else had this problem?

Check your EGR. I had a PO403 or something like that and it was cause the solenoid that goes to the EGR was loose. I'm almost positive this is what is wrong with your car.

why wont the warranty cover this? i thought there was a 60,000 mile powertrain warranty

they should but i try to not goto the dealership unless its super nessesary cause of the way they treat us. like i said, check all the wires that plug up to the EGR, i bet ones loose.

Should the warranty cover that part? I am unsure on that.
