Alright, this is related to my parent's mazda3, not my protege. Alright, so recently the CEL came on. They went to get it checked at Advance Auto. The obdII reader I guess could not communicate with the car. So, they took it to the local Mazda Stealership. The diagnosed from what I understood, the entire car. They came back with like four jobs they wanted to do, mainly routine maintenance, however, their solution they came back with for the CEL was the thermostat. I was just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this. The CEL coming on for just the thermostat. Also, there have been no cooling issues with the car recently.
Any help would be great. Also, I do not have a obdII code for the issue.
