Cat-less DP Owners, Please Chime In...

Hey guys,

I have a dilemma, I sent my catted DP in for service and I am wondering whether to have it replaced or just deleted. I do race my car at least 2-3 times a month if not more and I was recommended to lose the cat due to tracking the car so often.

My only concern is the fumes...

How bad are the fumes on a non-catted MS3? Will I be suffocating people behind me? Will I suffocate myself as well if the wind blows my way?

Just trying to get an idea on what to do...

The only experience I've had with cat-less systems was my old Miata and her fumes were bad. People behind me stayed back due to how pungent the fumes were. I don't want that to happen with my MS3.

Any feedback greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!! (2thumbs)

i installed my txs dp/rp at about 2200 miles.
the smell is there but i dont notice it much at idle and never notice it with windows up or driving.
i have had alot of cars/trucks with little to no emission, so one could say i am used to the smell.
i say do it unless you have to deal with emissions testing

this car seems fine without cats, ive never had any smells or trouble from my catless set up, just extra power and a puff of smoke here and there and black looking tail pipe, but thats expected. also just add the 02 sensor extender mod and you will never have to worry about engine lights either, good luck on your decision.

Hey nig3 when you say the 02 sensor extender mod what exactly do you mean. I wanna get a Corksport DP and run it with the SU Test pipe i got florida plates so no emissions. Also with no cats does this thing gargle alot more or just deep all the way through the rpm range. Thanks

I noticed smell even withjust rp when you rev the car at stop you can smell it...but not as much when you have dp +rp combo
