I think the idea is there, but stretched a bit. They do believe that God is of human form, and that we lived before we were born here. There is a belief that if you do well on Earth, that you will become higher on the level of closeness with God when you die. I'm still learning all the Mormon stuff, fiance is one, so I'm trying to get caught up on everything. You do have to go through a lot of teachings and all before you are able to become baptized through someone that had priesthood in the Mormon church. There are some interesting ideas, but nothing outrageous like the video shows. Mormons do visit you, I would not think as often as Jehovah's Witnesses, and they will leave if you tell them to without question. They do come to you, like when you request a Book of Mormon, but they are not as "pushy" with it IMO. And hmm.. endless celestial sex. Sounds nice. I really don't think I've read that part where God has a million wives. They don't drink alcohol, coffee, tea, or smoke cigs. They really aren't supposed to do soda but that one's stretched. The Eternal Marriage is followed, in that when you die, you will still have that other person rather than "til death do you part". I'm not too sure on the Golden Plaques being found in NY though. Haven't heard that one yet.

my personal belief is there is 1 god Jesus Christ, holy spirit, and the heavenly father they are seperate and 1 at the same time. To me there is no other gods, not me or anyone else. When Jesus said do as I do he was refering to being sinless and loveving he was not refering to making yourself god... By claiming the is more than one god is denying Jesus as deity. Plus remeber Jesus didn't get in a car wreck when he died on the cross he gave himself for us so that we woudld't have to die, he defeated sin and the devil. This alone. Jesus said it is finished when ever you add to this and take your focus off the cross....to me thats the sign of the devil...satan hates the corss.

I think everyone should have the right to believe what they want to believe as long as they don't hurt anyone else.

Is the Mormon religion so far off from others? Each religion is a leap of faith...it's just that some are far more commonly believed than others.

In Christianity, we are expected to believe that a guy was able to walk on water, come back from the dead, etc....

If the world was created 6 thousand years ago, how does this explain carbon dating of dinosaur bones which says they are millions of years old?

Now Scientology on the other hand....

i think evreyone should belive what they choose as well, we have a free will. You can't explain god through worldy means god is foolishness to the worldy man. As far as the dinasours...we have millions+ fossils how come we don't have 1 fossil that is a mix of species, your ehtier homosaphian or neandthral or ape or cat or dog etc. there is not 1 link between the species, that would have to be for evolution to be true...

Well.. HIS church ;) I'm a chick. But yeah, I'm learning.. might make good discussion for tonight when he comes over.
