that's almost as entertaining as the cartoons (including South Park) that describe the belief system of the Scientologists. I swear, these stories make George Lucas seems like an amateur story-teller.

As a forewarning, I can see this thread getting out of control once our normal debaters hit it. I'll be watching it very closely.
 
My crappy satellite internet only let me watch about half of it, but still, is that what mormons really believe? My knowledge of the mormon faith is somewhat lacking, but I figure that video has to be a combination of the actual truth and poor understanding of their religion.
 
they belive if you do good works you will become god one day and that our god will be you buddy equel in power and strength. Thats denying the deitiy of christ, thats what satan tried to do when he was an angel. Its NOT Christainy.. plus they don't focus on the cross as menas of salvation this is clearly a sign of the devil. The devil hates the cross its what defeted him any from of christianity that takes away from the cross is false. Jesus said too that "in the last days many will come to you in my name and teach you can be like me be warnded these are false teachers" you notice how they come to your do your with Jesus Christ name on there name tage...

I think the cartoon is skewed to fit someone's interpretation. Sounds like a vendetta agains the Mormon church. I say, as long as they're not sacrificing babies, who cares what they believe? (dunno)

Yeah I agree. I read through most of this book on the mormon religion and it was interesting. The way it was explained was somewhat similar to this BUT in more depth and didnt cut any corners. I can place the title of the book here if needed but I agree I do not care what they beleive in as long as it does not harm others. Its the fundamentalist mormons we should worry about (according to the book I almost finished reading). The religion aspect got too much for me to bear with.
 
I like how when you turn into a demon your hair gets really messy. That is how I always pictured it happening.
