it's CF overlay to match the rest of the CF theme on his car.... his roof is not really CF.

I think it looks unique and matches the theme of his car perfectly. Its not like hes trying to get weight reduction.

O im so sorry i dont understand why people like carbon fiber so much! i think its ok when used in moderation but...i saw this civic with a CF hood, and a CF trunk...now they have CF overlays what next matching fenders, and door panels(notcool)

Actually, they do make CF fenders and doors.

In any case, some people really like the look of CF, myself included.

ahh i was waiting for someone to respond to that with they already make CF doors lol AHHHH

I used to think the same. But now, when I look at carbon fiber, I love it. Many cars wouldn't be able to 'pull off' a carbon fiber hood, but I think it looks great on that particular P5.

i can only respect and appreciate a carbon fiber piece if it is a true replacement piece with function/ weight saving/ strength properties. overlays dont do it for me.

I dont' know, but I've never liked carbon fiber neither. It just looks a bit weird to me, just like ppl who have unpainted body kits on their car.

I'd love to have one of those, overlay or not. I love the look of CF (in moderation and taste) and am planning on exterior accents for my Black Mica P5 which IMO will look hot. :D

Just Go to any local sign shop and ask for Avery CF Vinyl. It's a little expensive but it's really easy to put on. Theres some new formulas that we're testing that is preferated so that you can not get any bubbles, you could squeegee this stuff with your shoe!

Intadesting... hmmm... how could one go about getting a sample of this vinyl? I'm not keen on large amts of vinyl but my curiosity is indeed piqued. :D

if he has a cf trunk (although it is a p5) and a cf hood with the sides painted, it could look really nice with the black stripe running down the middle

i have a friend that has a VW and on the inside the roof liner is now CF
What is the point in that?(screwy) Does it look decent, because I think it would look ugly from inside.

CF hood & trunk combo can look really good, just not on all cars & colors. If I rememeber correctly, Monster in Japan makes a whole custom kit for the Evo VII(red) with CF front lip, side skirt, hood, trunk, and spoiler. Looks really really nice. Saw it in some Japanese car magazine, and you can also find that in the Initial D PS2 video game.

DON'T get carbon fiber patterned vinyl.. it looks so fake.. You can get real carbon fiber for overlays, if you must have carbon fiber.
