They have the functional Ram Air hood. Just wondering, is this for the 'sunny-day-only' driving? Or can it actually be driven in the rain?

IF is could be driven in the rain...

...I live more on the country side than in the city. Bugs are bad during the summer months. Would that hood be good idea or bad idea?

Personally i think it will function as any ram air hood.. such as the trans am.. if you can drive those in the rain, i see why you cant drive with this one. . Best bet is to email them and just ask.

Thanks ZiO

That was my view on it too...since the Trans Am has a ram air hood, why can't my Protege5? ;)

I think I will email them.

If your worried about bugs or rain going in the scoop, that shouldnt be an issue, thats why you have a filter. Just my 2 cents!

MP5DuCe...

I was hoping they could have the Carbon Fiber with the red in it to match my car.

But also, I was gonna ask around some body shops and see what it cost to have a custom scoop like that put in. It wouldn't be light weight like the carbon fiber, but really I'm just going for looks anyways. And almost $1200 for a Carbon Fiber Ram Air hood is alot to be going for!

And I have that AutoExe lip on order...but when it got here it was broke, so I sent it back and trying to get another one. FedEx taking damn long time to process the claim though. :(
