Car Went THUD!!!

LAst night i was on the way home, i decided to run the car out a lil. While comming on redline in seccond shifting to 3rd i hear somthing bouncing under the car, then a loud thud. HAve no i dea what this is. put the cluch down, seams fine all gears work, i have power, car seams fine. but i pull over and pop the hood and i see that my air fiter had blown off the the pipe. I think it might be time for new motor mounts. I had a hanger that supports the intake at the connection where the filter is and i can only guess that the motor felxed enough to wiggle the filter loose and then it fell and i ran it over. So now i gotta be carfull goin to work so i done suck anything into the motor before i get a new filter.

Not smart driving without a filter (verry small things can **** s*** up BIG)

I would Taxi to a shop and get a universal filter and not chance it.

get a filter ASAP, hell, just put some panty hose on the end of it for now if you have to. You and your motor will be glad you did.

just be careful whatever you wrap around it is secure so THAT doesn't get sucked up...lol

Have no fear, i went and took the BMW to work today, sad thing is i could only find a APC HKS look a like filter at the local rice shop. ANy one have a good filter they wanna sell so i can get this APC part off my car

is that the one with the plastic colored cover so it looks like a blow off valve? you can remove the cover so it just is a filter.
