Car is a gonner!

Well guys. Some old guy turned left in front of me on my way to work last friday. Looks like after a week long fight with the insurance company, they are going to total it. The motor took a hit (broke all the motor mounts) so I decided I didn't want it back.

Looks like i'm on my way to boosted AWD. Or MAYBE a mazdaspeed, I heard dealers are giving them away.

I realy don't know if I want another mazda, the service was so ******* sad.

gonna miss the car though.

it's an insurance policy that covers any "gap" in price difference when totalled, so you cannot lose on the totaling...i have gap too...wouldn't buy a car without it from here on out.

s***, Im getting that the next policy I get. Right now Im feeling the burn of getting cheap insurance as it is. My car has been in the shop for over 10 weeks, but Im only coverd for 12 days of rental at $10 a day. Thank god for good friends!

thats not what gap covers...gap covers if your car is totalled and its worth 10k but you owe 15k, the gap pays the extra 5k, without gap theyll give you 10k but youll still have to either
A) make payments on a car you dont have until you pay the extra 5k
B) come up with another 5k to pay off the car

Yah I'll never buy another car without gap either. The insurance is totaling it at somewhere around 8200. I still owe about 15900.

I agree. That's why I wouldn't care if my car got stolen, as long as they don't find it, and if they do, it's stripped to the bone. GAP insurance is a great thing especially now adays with all these new car rebates messing up the used car market.

I don't want to sound like too much of an oppertunist but, does this mean there will now be mp3 parts for sale at the local wrecking yard? RAZORP5 ECU? I need the rear bumper skirt and the struts. Any way of keeping us posted where the car ends up? Thanks, Micaguy
