Car grinds in third only

WOW THAT MUCH? thats crazy. ill have to take mine soon. i might do a fluid change first and see if that helps. if it doesnt then its off to mazda

If the fluid change doesn't help, I'd see about getting a tranny shop to take a look before going to Mazda.

nope nothing. $475 to open tranny and then they gotta see if the syncro went bad cause of me. then they see if its covered under warranty(which my extended says syncros are covered). what i wanna knw regardless if it was me r not why wouldnt the warranty cover it anyways if im paying for their services?

warranty covered everything. apparently the previous dealer i bought the car from sold it to me with cracked spark plugs, a broken a/c switch(flcikering #2 and 3# a/c functions of doom!), and a bad tranny with a bad clutch. it always shifted fine but i guess not. the whole 3rd gear was ruined.
