hello all I have not posted in a while as our little P5 has been runnin like a champ. So here is what happened last night. Wife takes car to town and while driving up to a stop sign the car just shuts down and will not start. It cranks just fine but will not fire. So I would like to humbley ask for a opinion on what this could be. I am leaning towards the 100 amp main fuse blowing and causing it but would like some other thoughts from your guys. Thank you for your time.

fuel pump relay?

only three reasons a car won't run: (1) air, (2) fuel, (3) spark.

Where is this relay located? My wife was thinking it was fuel issue so I will let you guys know who was right.

I do have a thought about maybe the timing belt snapping mid drive. My wife said this happened mid drive and the car just shut off. But this would not cause the car to totally shut off of the timing belt broke

did it put-put-put then stop? Did it boom then stop?

pull off the timing cover and see if the belt is still intact?

Well I have to give this one to the wife on her initial diagnosis. She called a blown fuse and what does it end up being a damn blown fuse. I ended up destroying the coil boots trying to get them out since I was heading towards a broken timing belt so I ended up replacing both coils and just cleaned up the NGK spark plugs with a wire wheel and all is good again. Got the coil packs at O-Reillys for $26 bucks a piece which was the cheapest I found. I did pull off the valve cover to check the timing belt and it looked good. Thanks for the replies on this and we will see how things hold up.
