Car and Personal info

i'm mike. i'm 28 and live in cherry hill, nj - just outside philadelphia. i mechanical engineering degree, and worked on gas turbine engines aboard ships and hovercrafts for the Navy for several years after college. i'll graduate law school in may 06. after that, i'll be working in the patent law group of a relatively large law firm in philadelphia. i have a g/f of 6+ years and two retired racing greyhounds.

my first car was a '90 protege SE that i bought with 140,000 on it. when i sold it w/ 225,000 on it, it had not once given me any trouble. it's still the best car i've ever owned. after that i bought an '02 RSX-S the week they came out; sold it when i decided to stop working and go to law school. i chose my '02 Protege ES over an '02 MINI b/c i preferred the way the mazda drove; everything felt tighter and higher-quality (had i known what the resale difference would be, i might have gotten the MINI!). i also have an '87 corolla FX16 hatch that i use to carry around the dogs and for most of my daily driving. that car is all kinds of fun to drive; i might never get rid of it.

my protege is (lightly) set up for STS autoxing, which i've been doing for about 3 years. it's got MSP springs/struts/rear bar, and 15x7 wheels on the front, 15x6.5 on the back w/ just-about-bald kumho MX tires. it's fairly competitive regionally as-is, except for the civics. i have a wagner shorty further mods.

currently trying to decide on my next autoX car.

im Ros Gregy Roberto, im 21 yrs old, from the Philppines. my car here is Ford Lynx RS. FS-DE engine. same layout, same engine of the mazda MP3. just different names, front bumper, headligthts, rear bumper, tail lights..

Hello, my name is Juan and I am 33 YO

I own a 2002 Victory Red protege 5. I have only done suspension (Tokico Illuminas and a combinaiton of SC(f) and MSP (r) springs, Ractive WAI (I know, soon to modify into CAI though) and a FRT can.

Looking at going full- out NA but I know it will take a long time as I have a family to care for.

My previous car (may it rest in peace) was a Bright Silver Metallic 2000 Neon. I kept it N/A but did almost as much as I could do.

Mild cam and spring/retainer upgrade, Port& Polished + shaved the head, custom CAI, header, full exhaust from the header back with cut-out, upgraded ECU. Short shifter, upgraded clutch w/lightened flywheel. Full KW coilover set-up, custom strut tower bars - front and rear, upgraded swaybars.

With the above set-up, I was able to stay ahead of my friend's Jetta TDI (137WHP and 309 WLBS of TQ, right up through fourth gear. I was also able to stay ahead of may DOHC Neons, whose 1/4 mile time was in the low 15's to high 14's.

I still wanted to get the wild Crane cam, the MAGNUM 2.0l head and INDY Intake manifold but alas, the car was not destined to survive.

It was hit by a motorcycle and riders. The car's front end was displaced by 6" horizontally and 2" vertically.

So far, I'm happy with the performance of the P5. Aand although it feels much slower my my Neon =( I am sure that with time, I will be able to make it a fast N/A P5.
