Car almost dies when taking out key and turbo timer turns on

I've done numerous searches on turbo timer installs and I ended up getting it installed but not being able to use the factory alarm system. Either way I have just the timer installed with the passive alarm in 30 seconds after ignition is cut off.

Turbo timer is on set for 30 seconds, I take the key out of the ignition and the car almost turns off then revs back up to normal idle and will wait the 30 seconds before turning off. If it doesn't do that since the revs drop down so low when I turn the car off the car will just turn off.

I thought it could possibly be the batter however Mazda said the battery was ok after I took it in to have them look at it. I had the car at like 4,000 rpms then put the car into nuetral with the stereo going and the car stalled out. I drove it the rest of the night without any issues and Mazda said the ECU didn't store any codes and it appears everything is fine. I'm still leaning towards the battery but has anyone ever had this issue ?

Oh and if anyone knows how to get the stupid alarm to work with the turbo timer running that would be great. I tried doing one of the posts with the two relays but all it did was lock the doors 8 million times when I hooked them up to ground.

Thanks !!!

the grounding system for the car is horrid. you will notice, that any time the bass hits, your whole lighting system dims. Also, at idle, when to cooling fans come on, the car drops in revs. I would suggest getting a hyperground system.

Craig (1st MP# in NH) makes them on here. do a search for grounding systems, and you will find many posts about it. :D

I have the same exact problem... don't know what does it. I think it might have something to do with the key being between the part where the car is on, and the part where just the battery is on. I'm not really too sure, I don't usually play with it, but I do experience the same thing. Also... occasionally my car will just shut off when I turn they key off, I don't really understand that either. All I know is, most turbo timers have something to do with the dome light. So, maybe people getting in and out of your car has something to do with it. It's really confusing :(

I had the same thing with my Blitz, also it depended on whether I was using the set timer or the RPM timer. What I got in the habit of doing is giving it a little gas right when I turned it off, seems to work fine.

Green wire from turbo timer goes to blue wire on the ignition harness and blue wire from turbo timer goes to black and white on the igntion harness. Rewire those two wires and leave the red (12v constant) alone. I had the same problem and now it works like a charm :D .

Ok, I will go try switching the blue and green wires. All the turbo timer installs I found on this forum said red to red, blue to blue and green to black / white.

ahh well there you go. It seems everyone with that turbo timer has the same problem. Go switch those wires and enjoy no worries.

Yeah, I figured whoever would create a write up for everyone to use on the car would write it up correctly. After looking at what the wire colors are supposed to goto on the HKS timer I verified the correct installation by testing the wires. You are correct. I'm going to go switch these wires right now. It just sucks the internet is flooded with that TT installation, it's really going to confuse people. It did me.

Now if I could only get the alarm to arm and lock the doors while the car is running, that would be awesome.

Just figured I would let everyone know that switching the wires fixed the issue. Note to self. I see that with the 12v ignition and accessory being switched when accessory turns off it thinks it's actually trying to turn back on. Either way it's fixed now and I'm a happy camper.

Thanks for the help.

there's only one bad write up floating arround,
maybe someone shouldcontact that person and tell them to either fix it or take it off their site.
