Ok I consider myself knowledgable enought to install an amp and subs but ainstalling a cap is new to me. I just purchased a new system and bought this cap

And I have no clue how to hook it up. I mean I have a general idea but what confuses me is that it has 2 sets of pos and neg terminals at the top. one pos neg on the left one on the right. So my question I guess is how would I go about setting this up?

Did you bother to read the instructions that came with it? I'm pretty sure you connect power from the battery and ground to the chassis to two of the connections. Then you connect power to the amp and ground to the amp to the other connections.

Yeah I read the instructions, I ended up figuring it out by searching the net. The instruction book that came with the cap was pretty crappy. Now I just have to wait for the rest of my stereo stuff to get in and i'll be set.

B very careful when you continue on with your installtion.
A Capacitor hols a crap load of power that LOVES to discharge. So be warned that a capacitor with a charge will arc like a son of a b**** if you touch its + terminal or + wire to ground.
