Can't boost over 5-6psi PLEASE HELP

no, if you hooked the fmu up right it's fine, i would bet money the gauge is incorrect. If it truly bothers you, just snag a wideband, the link i showed you is the best price ive found for a new(good) wideband.
how can i know for sure...sounds like the FMU is fubar. i mean again, jamie ran the narrowband too i think.

sorry to hear man...
not really a motor person, but bump for you :) - chris

if you say the gauge reads rich at 4-5psi then it sound like if the thing is any accurate the fmu is working fine, then all the sudden you turn it up 1-2psi and the fmu isn't working? that doesn't make sense...it's goto be the gauge.IMO

i dunno i guess i was thinking something was wrong and it couldnt handle a higher boost level...

after talking to jamie he said he had the narrowband the whole time he had the kit and it always read rich while in boost.

we both have one cat because im using his old downpipe...he offered to get me a recalibration kit to change the fmu from 12:1 to 10:1

Are you sure you have the FMU on the right way? Take a closeup pic of the lines going to it if you can.

mp3skater just told me the lower the ratio the more fuel (confused)

10 parts air to one part fuel as opposed to 12 parts air one part fuel :( damn im confused.

yea i had that backwards.

I dont know what to tell you man, it worked fine on my car, and i dont see how shipping the kit could make it not work right.

i wish i could, but the wonderful day im having my nikon camera broke today it says system error when i try to turn it on

i think the sony video camera my wfie bought me to video tape street battles might take stills but im not sure how...

jamie said to go take off the top of the fmu and see if the disc is ripped.

So, the car runs fine at 4 psi, and not above that? Sounds like your fuel pump is a big wuss. . .

You really need a fuel pressure gauge to be able to watch for the FMU working. At WOT you will be about 42 psi of fuel pressure, and then at 4 psi of boost, you will be at 82 psi of fuel pressure. The stock pump will start to dead head around 90 psi. So, you may just have a "weaker than normal" pump. It is hard to deliver the necessary fuel when you have to do it at 90 psi and you are used to running at right around 40 psi.

Get an inline or replacement pump and a fuel pressure gauge. . .

Otherwise, save yourself further frustration and sell the parts and car and get something that works (your other idea).

couple of questions..
1. do the mp3 and the p5 use the same fuel pump? or is the p5 pump stronger?
2. if the kit was set up to be in a mp3.. would the timing difference have anything to do with it?

matthew have you triend contacting linuxracer as well? i know he replaced all kinds of s*** on his turbo mp3.. maybe he has an idea?

Yes
No
No

i can understand your reasoning...but if mike can run ELEVEN psi on the stock pump, 5-6psi should be a piece of cake for the fuel pump - even a weak one.

so far the suggestions are:

bad fuel pump
bad fmu
worthless guage
bad wiring
bad vacuum lines

anything that couldnt be wrong?
