cant accelerate past 5k rpm !!!

as i run through the gears when i hit 5k i hear a high piched reving sound and the car has no top end power. i have experienced the problem that itz_alan described in his post. i have no idea what it could be but it is the worst in third i hit 5k and its like the car is goverend. can anyone help or know what im talking about if you need a better descrition ask me plz help!!!!

LOL i had a similar incident...like a whistle though once boost was hitting...it was a air leak....

Probably a boost leak somewhere in between the turbo and intake manifold.

my car has an injen cai and it it doesnt sound like a leak its more of a honda reving its engine at high rpm but really high piched and i have no top end it has not been flashed

Well if it's a bad MAF it would throw a code. It's possible that you might have a small leak. Check the coupler that attaches to the turbo.

yes the silicone connector that connects the turbo to the intake. you might want to check it.

Does it rev past 5k with no additional power and make alot of noise or is it just stopping at 5? Maybe your clutch is starting to slip is why I ask.

Antihope-that is exactly what it is it reaches 5k and makes noise and feels like a rev limiter

most likely bad MAF,
and sometimes they dont throw a CEL.

go to dealer, they fix it.

would a bad maf cuase black smoke will accelerating at 3k... today while driving it majorly bogged out and wouldn't accel past 3k and it bucked and had black smoke out the tail pipe can some one plz help me i miss my car being zoom zoom i ran it on a G-tech and i ran an 18 sec 1/4 can someone tell what my prop could be

ahh, a boost controller.....

well, the injen should not be a problem.
but u should definetly take the MBC off
how much were u boosting?
