Canadian Mazdaspeed 3 pricing is announced

At the end of the day, the 'closest' Mazdaspeed3 competitors in Canada will be the Honda Civic Si (MSRP of $26,080) and the Acura CSX Type-S (basically the Canadian version of the Honda Civic Si 4-door, as Canada will not be getting the 4-door Civic Si).

Acura CSX Type-S pricing has not been disclosed yet, but will be very close to the Mazdaspeed3, whereas the Civic Si is a significantly cheaper. Mazdaspeed3 and Civic Si featureset are closely matched.

Very low Mazdaspeed3 volumes though, and as Mazda3 mentions, the vast majority of the very initial 250 have already been spoken for. There's more coming though, and it'll be interesting to see how those compare to the CSX Type-S

What about APRs and residuals? Anyone know these yet?

and are we stuck with one model, no options?

rainmain, I have no idea on apr, but I'm guessing alr is going to be like 5.9-6.9 like all recent mazdaspeed releases have been.

So, do the math. 33k @ 5.9 = @#$@#$ high montly payment for a "cute hatch"

Wait for the next run of the MS3 and the rates to drop. It'll happen. Winter is coming anyways

They probably won't be released until the September rates come out. But I expect the rates to match the 07 M3 which is 5.9% finance and 6.9% lease. Hopefully the speed will share the Mazda 3 Sports extremely high residual which will help keep the payment down for you. I believe the 3 sports have the highest lease residuals of any car in Canada.

Why? What car touches this car at that price?
And yes, this is official.

How exactly is this price official? I see no updated info on Mazda's web site.

And about the Canadian allocation of cars being 90% spoken for, is this "official", and if so how did you get this info.

Thanks.

Mazda3 and wrongpres have excellent inside info from Mazda. It's reliable.

As for the 90% thing, it wouldn't be hard for Mazda to keep track of people who have a deposit on them

I don't have a deposit on one, but my home dealership knows that I am interested in snagging one, and possibly trading my MSP for one.

The MSRP Mazda3 posted at the beginning of this thread is definitely correct - Mazda Canada website should be updated in a couple of weeks.
