I'm sick of searching through all the groupbuys are realizing that none are from canada. I think that the moderators should make a forum strickly for candians organizing group buys. This way, the funds will be in CDN dollars, and shipping won't be a b****(sad1)

This is def not true. Ive seen a ton of gb originating from canada. Two or three of them have ended up with people running away with other peoples cash.I think the majority of the forummembers here live in the states, and are wery of canadian folks running away with their cash.

And what, exactly do you propose to have a group buy on? Given my situation I'm not modding the power train until the warranty's out in five years.... maybe we can do a gb on cork sport's fluorescent "Flying M" shift knob? I've asked and they don't seem in a hurry to call back.... maybe an order for a dozen..........

oh s***..... sorry to hear that. I knew we had our share of assholes but it seems we have extra shovelfulls of 'em.....

damn

geez.....not quite sure what to say here. Yes, i was almost screwed over by the 2loww thing, but i'm wondering if any other canadians would find it easier ordering amongst ourselves. I'm not trying to flame here

Its not against the canadian peeps at all, we have some great enthusiasts and companies out there. Its just a couple of bad apples have left a bad taste on peoples mouth.

that sucks....its so hard being a canadian and wanting to mod your car. The prices for shipping is astronomical. Plus, our dollar sucks. And everytime it rises, our damn banks cut the intrest rates and it falls again(bang)

If you're looking for Cdn group buys, you're probably better off checking out the canadian mazda car clubs. However, there's more subscription to car clubs in the states and there's generally more knowledge (so I've found). The deals also tend to be better as there's more demand. However, to save on shipping and duties problems, it is sometimes more convenient to pay a little bit more and purchase from a Cdn GB.

Too true!

Like Robin Williams said: Our currency is called the loonie--> How can you take an economic crisis seriously??!!!
"The loonie is down! Oh how sad for you!!!"

well, you can always check out the Canadian boards and jump in on their group buys...

Just make sure you tell the organizer where you are from, and I am sure it would be ok.

Check out toprotege.com, we have group buys pretty often and they are all in Canadian funds!

If you are interested in GB from Canada checkout bcmazda.com and toprotege.com, but I find much better deals on this site since most of the things originate from the US anyway.

I dont have a problem with the US I am down their all the time anyway :)

ghost what are these other ripoffs? the only one I have seen is the 2loww one

wow, that's the biggest generalization i've ever read. it's like saying ALL americans are in support of Bush and the Iraqi war. yes, a few incidents have occurred where Canadian sellers have been sketchy, but they definitely DO NOT represent the rest of us "canadian folks". since most of the forum members live in the US, there are alot of buyer/seller transactions. and i'm sure more people have gotten ripped off by their own american brethren. that seems like a justified reason for going to war. how come you guys aren't killing each other over that? don't all american folk like war? see. it's not nice to generalize, no matter what the context. so please be nice and don't generalize. (canada)(usa)

I was just about to add the BC one too!

Skylab and 2Loww ripped off a bunch of people on here for a replica autoexe grill GB.

Those guys are crooks...

:(

and I second what chops said!

We are a pretty good bunch to deal with.

Even the queen has to s*** sometimes...

Did you even read the second post. Get a grip bud, no one has insulted you.

Well, personally, I think ordering the parts yourself at the states
saves you a couple of bucks than buying it here. Its the same conecept.
Performance Stores here buy their stuff at the states and pays DOD and taxes.

I went almost around the GTA area to find the cheapest Injen Intake I can find. This Chinese Performance Store are charging me 500 "no tax".
I have ordered mine at Adventon.com for 219US + Shipping + DOD's and Taxes =400 $ CDN.
So I kinda saved a little here and the parts were delivered right infront of my door.

Just my thoughts (wink) (canada)

I hate paying those brokerage fees, shipping charges, and so on, but that wont stop me from buying from the states. It's usually cheaper....unless the exchange rate is crap. But if there is something that i can get local for just as cheap i'd rather get it here. It's all about money...a buck saved here or there is another buck saved for my other mods.
(It would be nice to be able to get an injen intake for $219 Can instead of $500 Can)
