Can you change CX-5 oil without ramps?

Some thing I do for stuff (probably not good for oil change) is just drive half the car onto the sidewalk.Then I dont even have to f with any of the equipment

That is the way i built my ramps and works
fine for changing oil and filter. ( on a CX5 )
