The reason Dealerships are doing this is easy......
GM Started the Trend when they announced this 2 months ago....
Think about a SUV with Standard 15" Wheels on it and Joe Stunna goes and puts 22s on it and is now destroying Wheel bearings every 8 months.
On the other hand you have people who never bother to Check Wheel Offset, Backspacing...Etc into there wheel choice, its oh that fits and looks good. Not realizing you are now putting more stress on Steering, Knuckles and Hubs.
That is there to protect the Dealer from s*** like THAT. It happens to screw with us more car motivated People.
Altho if the Rolling Wheel diameter is the exact same, what could they really get you on??
Course how hard is it really to take off your Wheels before taking a car in for Service??
Not defending the Dealer as I am pissed cause now I am reconsidering the 18/20 Combo I was going to run on my Truck
