I have searched google up and down trying to find out how to properly paint the decoration panel in the 3. Please help me find a tutorial or maybe you have done it. Thank you for your help.

According to the Mazda dealer it is this... <a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/albums/q95/Liltomdelonge/?action=view&current=2007Mazda3SportSedan16VVTActiveKend.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q95/Liltomdelonge/2007Mazda3SportSedan16VVTActiveKend.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Salsa may be able to help you out with this. He covered some of his dash panels in Blue vinyl. He's almost a pro!!

I'm sure he'll pop in here. I'll text him. Even though I shouldn't help you.. You voted for the ms3 for motm (gah)

lol.. Elias (mildsalsa) has been contacted.

oh dude Im sorry. If I would have know someone from KY was on there I would have totally voted for you. I wasn't paying much attention I just knew Radar This from before. Before I found out there was a Kentucky section.

lol I'm just kidding its all good. I told elias his vinyl skills are needed.

1000 grit wet dry sand paper, wet sand , rinse, let dry, tack cloth wipe, High gloss black, 2-4 thin coats (just covered so you dont see origonal color), High Gloss Clear coat. 2-3 thin coats till it looks like glass (keep the can 4-8" away from surface), put it under a heat lamp/500Watt light between coats (10-20 miutes).

Acrylic is long lasting, laquer is easier to work with ,might fade if exposed to lot of sun.

So what brands did you use? I dont want to mess that s*** up. Im a perfectionist lol.

hello.. i have been summoned... ah.. painting would be nice,, if you like hard work lol.... from rvinyl.com they have precut pieces... i go for the 12x24 or 24x24 sheet... its like 5.99 or so... just need a blow dryer and exacto knife, if the panel or piece you want vinyled, i used aluminum foil to make a "mold" of the spot and lay over the vinyl... if you mess up... there's always more vinyl ;). on my sig is my cardomain page and i have some interior pics you can check out.

The vinyl is probably easier to do & not as permanent as paint. As in- easier to fix if you mess it up or decide you don't like it when you get it all done!! (ugh)

Well its not really $5 because the piece is longer than 2 ft. But I have some vinyl connections so I'll figure out something.

Im starting the process of looking for rims. Anybody know some good local stores to find some?
