CAn P5 use Synthetic oil?

I read that somewhere that Mazda doesn't reccomend syn lubes.

CAn anyone set me straight on this matter?

that only applies to rotary engines, IIRC.

Mazda piston engines are just like any other piston engines, so go ahead and use synthetics on your Pro!

I am getting ready to put Mobile 1 oil and filter in the wife's P5 for the third time, no problems to mention. Oh except for the fact that I really hate that little tiny oil filter. I need to find a good small filter wrench.
