Thats my main fear buying the Wii. I like the original gameplay concepts but I hated playing madden on the wii-mote and also using it to drive in driving games. Now all that being said, I am not a graphics ***** and the Wii can put out some pretty amazing titles (Zelda, metroid, Mario) and the new intellectual IP's that will soon appear: No more heroes (definatly not a kiddy game) and much more that will make great use of the Wii-mote. But I want to see a stronger lineup built before I'd consider it. And also I'm perfectly happy to use a standard gamecube controller. Not every game has to use the Wii-mote imho just as long as innovative content keeps coming out for it.
Right now I'd buy a 360 if the dang thing would not freeze up and die on me but I still and weary about paying so much money for game consoles and then $60 a game. I know production costs are going up but dang!

Yeah, the reliability of the 360 has been less than stellar so far.. My brother has had two of them die.

I would never buy the PS3 due to that fact that the system is no in full HD. I do like the built in wifi. To me the only thing you are buying with that system is a blueray player. Which by the way is not doing to well...beta max...???

Isn't there a difference in price? I think the Wii is cheaper so you can buy that, several games, or if you like several of the games from the lineup of the 360 go with the 360. I have never been a fan of the xbox, but I have the opportunity of buying one for a very decent price. I will finally play halo for the first time eveR.

Oh and for the PS3, I will buy it but only for the blueray at this moment in time. Their lineup is brutal.

you're right. It is the cheapest blu-ray player around. I'm sure its lineup will improve dramatically. Just too much cash to spend on a console.

Sony just cut the cost of their software developement kit for video game designers in half to encourage more game production....so im sure some good things will come of that...
do you think that cut in cost will lead to slightly cheaper games? I mean I like playing a good game now and again but at $60 a pop, I might not be able to afford my old hobby.
About $40 is my threshold for buying games but I know with the big name talent and production values in todays AAA titles, the days of the $40 disc are all but gone (except on the PC!!!
). The thing that burns me though, is a crappy game on the PS3 or 360 still costs $60.
