Can i-stop on the CX-50 be turned off?

Sticking a coin on something to keep button pressed all the time should work too but may log can errors in the computer. Harmless but still...

iStop is only on the turbo engines. They use cylinder deactivation on the non-turbos instead.
ah ok . OP never mentioned turbo in his OP . Didn't even know i had cylinder diactivation . And this car still only gets 21 mpg ...i drive mostly highway . My damn 4Runner gets 20 on the sme drive

I was dreading stop start on my just acquired 2025 Turbo plus. But, I have been surprised it seldom functions without even pushing the off button. I had read somewhere that it activates with more aggressive braking, and I am not an aggressive braker. So, I am a fairly happy camper.
