Can anyone tell me what these bulbs are?

.. So I tried searching both the forums and online, but there's just too many results of not-quite-right information.

I'm pretty sure I've heard people mention them before, and I've seen them as well .. There's a bulb out for turn signals where the bulb itself is colored a purple-blue, but it still blinks amber. Does anyone know what brand and/or type these are? Are they Sylvania?

I'm looking to pick up some of them in a couple different bulb types, since I want to replace my rear and front turn signal bulbs as well as my front corner markers. The amber bulb color is just too obnoxious for me, but they still have to BLINK amber to be legal in my state.

sylvania does make a corner bulb that is blueish in tint but still blicks amber. I used to have some in my old 1G DSM.

you mean that bulb has to be amber to be legal? uh oh.. mines clear-ish.

hm.. i think it lights up amber.. i forget what bulbs are in there.. actually i think its those silverstars.. blue on the outside, but lights up amber ish.

I bet that's where I saw them .. but I remember that they were friggin' expensive. I just found 'em online for $10.

But yeah, the bulb itself doesn't have to be amber -- it just has to BLINK amber. I'm finally getting around to buying a set of these 'Signal Lighting' ones because I despise how the amber bulbs look against my car. I'm thinkin' the iridescent blue will look nice, tho'.

I actually like the look of the amber. im a homo.

I think it depends on what the rest of the car looks like .. My MSP is just so dark in general -- all gray and silver and black -- that the amber seems to stick out and looks all obnoxious. IMHO, at least.
