camshafts and pistons

i want to stay the N/A route and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for camshafts and pistons. Any comments on ProtegeGarage High Compression Pistons for FS 2.0 Engine? or what camshafts would compliment these nicely? Just looking for some more power.

If you were going the high compression route I would suggest going with the integral stage 2.5 or stage 3. You will need something to control fuel in this application as you will see some funky stuff at idle and not enough fuel up top. The split second AFC would work nicely.

with the stage 2 cams....would they be worth the money compared to jdm camshafts. horsepower to doaller wise? basically are the integral stage 2's gonna show a better hp gain over the jdm cams and how much of a difference? im looking at camsshafts to complete my i/h/e setup.

there are tons of threads about the jdm cams....there's lil diff with them that you would see with the integral ones....especially since the jdm cams are used with the same compression that we have here

I've got an Asian/Euro spec engine, with the same cam grinds as the 165-horse FS-ZE (only higher spec is the 170-horse FS-ZE, which has the same intake but a bigger exhaust cam). The Integral Stage II cams make up to 12 hp (on my motor) at 6500 rpm compared to my stock JDM cams, but without engine management, idle is crap, and without cam gears, you will lose a noticeable amount of low-end torque.

If you're going for high comp, get the Stage 2.5s, stiffer valve springs, engine management and cam gears. You should be able to hit 170 wheel hp easy. :D

EDIT: probably won't be streetable at all, though... Stage 2s are probably as high as you want to go. After we adjusted the timing with cam-gears, it's okay on the street, but when I switch to my "zero" map (piggyback completely off), the car barely runs at idle.
