I Just put in a order for the Accolade body kit, and i am trying to track down other people who already have it.

These are the only ones I could find on the forum:

That is all that im aware of. Not many people want that kit because it only comes in fiberglass.

Wow, I always thought that was a good looking design, only pics I had seen were from accolade's website. having seen it on a real vehicle, all I can say is day-umn. I'm thinking noisy, bad aerodynamics. If it's not reinforced, I don't see it lasting long, either. At highway speed, that thing would be flexing like crazy. Get in some nasty weather, and it might just rip itself to pieces. Looking again, I can even see road inside the grille opening on the manufacturer's photos. If my car was a trailer-queen show car, and I had lots of money and time to fabricate grillwork, it would be the first one I'd pick. Otherwise, yikes.

Ugly kit. (poke) Perrin makes the biggest FMIC for the Proteges and it looks super small compared to the kit. Get your money back.

Yess i "sorta" know what i got myself. But I figure i have a few ideas on the subject.



One: This kit is; well; shall we say a rare kit. That, or their is more than a few "closet" rallisport'rs out there.

Two: I think their is some potential in the kit i just needs some love and attention. I have an idea for something like this, (keep in mind this was a quick photochop):

Three: Since my car has to have some damage, that has to be fixed. I had to make my descion, and since i have already had the autoexe lip, and everyone that has a nice kit P5 is run'n the mintblue kits. I will try and be original, try at least.

So, I've always liked the look of that kit in the manufacturer's pictures, but it looked so bad in the pictures above that I didn't even recognize it! I guess that's the difference between marketing and reality.

I was once looking into getting this kit because it looked pretty good on accolade's site. However, after searching for it here I thought otherwise. I still have mixed feelings because the sides and back look pretty cool but unfortunately accolade will not part the kit. If I had the money lying around I'd buy it just to see what it would look like with only the sides and back on and maybe a DG lip or something. Either that or try to find some fab. shop and go to town... Good luck!

Damn, that is the first time I've seen those pics of the kit on actual vehicles. Good luck with that cause it looks God awful. So much space, you could park a mack truck in there(shocked)
