This is almost precisely what the problem was. The intake was too close to some round metal thing. It has a white fluid resovoir above it with a cap. I think it may be something for the brake. Anyway, when I brake, the entire engine rotates towards the passenger. This rotating and the vibration of the engine running was definately rubbing on my intake. In fact, it wore off a circle of powder coating and a very small layer of the tubing. About 1 cm in diameter so you know there is a lot of movement of that engine. I readjusted the intake so how it once was about 2mm from the area causing the wear, it now has about 5-6mm. Now when I brake you see the engine shift but it only fills about half the space of the gap. I will feel see if vibration is still happening. I suggest everyone adjust this if they are getting it! It was wearing away the tubing on my intake! At least it is underneith and where one cannot see the wear but it sucks knowing that some of the powdercoat is gone.
