Freedom is the only way yeah!

OK, one extra I found on the cell phone from last night...

Hoorraaay for white Miatas. How many miles have you put on that thing since you got it?

And damn, Christian. When did you become unafraid of women? ;)

P.S. That's a scary ass picture.

Lots of changes..

broke up with girlfriend. She kept the 2004 miata.

put in a loan app for a 1996 M edition miata. Blue, 111k miles 5 spd. decent condition.

perfect candidate for a hard top, turbo, etc.

Sucks to hear that, bud. Good luck with the '96 and the turbo, and the hard top and the etc. :D.

It was just over 193K when I got it. Rolled over 195K this weekend. Did an oil change yesterday. Cleaned the air filter. Cleaned the interior. Removed the visors. I'm running out of cheap mods. :)

Next cheap mod will probably be to bump up the timing. I kind of want to get an intake, but if I use funds to go turbo anytime soon, that's obviously a waste of money. First real mod will probably be to get a Hard Dog bar. Part of me doesn't want to add extra weight to the car in its present state-- but I would get a little extra stiffness and they just look so f'n cool.

Yes sir, white Miatas are the best! Even/especially when they're beat up.

Here is my baby, The Green Bean (or Bnan, in Swedish). Mods include EBC brakes, HD sports bar, FM exhaust, RB headers, 6-p harnesses and some smaller details. In the pipeline (waiting in the garage actually) are stiffer engine mounts and an oil filter relocation kit. I want (I really, really want) to upgrade the suspension, but I need to finish a valve clearence job first. I think I need a couple of sick days...

Umm....that's just awsome. I love the garage. (headbang)

Yeah wow, could Gary > Kevin (glare). :D

Thought for the night-- Miata is the only 2000 dollar car you can own where 90% of the population envies you-- whether they'll admit it or not.

All I know is that I can't wait for this thread to fall over to the next page so that I don't have to see/scroll past the last picture in post #738. That's scary stuff...really.

She's my friend not my g/f, you won't hurt my feelings. :) She's actually cute-- but that picture is damn scary I'll agree. I'll remove it jsut 'cuz i'm tired of looking at my ugly mug. :D

Don't know about yours but mine were slightly more than 2K

Don't doubt that. :)

Mine was a hair of 2 grand. I'm not at the point financially where I want to make payments on a car now, with a new mortgage and all.... More power to you if you can.

I guess my point was even a 2000 dollar Miata, people of all ages say your ride is sweet. (Unless they're young males who lack confidence in their manhood.) I want to think even MB SL500 convertible owners know they're riding in a inferior fat cow. No one has ever called my Protege sweet-- even with that oh so sweet RB catback protruding. :D

dyno

for the ex gf's 04 mx-5. no mods.

http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123647782

she noticed her spedometer was off. We timed it and paced it and we estimated it was off by around 5mph. Mazda didnt do a damn thing and told us we had to pay for a dyno to prove it was off .. then MAYBE they will do something..

turns out we were right.. it was off by like.. 3-4 mph from 30-up till 60mph. her spedometer reads 60 but the actual speed is 56 ish.. which puts extra miles on the car. kills the warrenty faster etc etc.

anyway, since we paid for a dyno we did a HP run too.

First time poster...

Here's my new ride, with 2 of the other rides in the background.

Thanks. It's a '96. In fact, Miaturbo just walked past her this evening as he headed out. ;)

haha. He's a cool dude.

phinz, I think you're the first retractable hardtop on here.... I may be wrong.

Either way, nice car. Good color.

Yes, I think Phinz is the first retractable hardtop on here. I want one...well WE want one, a fun car to add to our stable of "practical" cars.
