Check out this pic of my rear tire, it's been demolished! It has lumps all around the inside of the tire.

Damn. That sucks. I caught a pot hole with one of my rear tires back in December and it made a hole in the sidewall. The roads SUCK here shortly after any kind of rainfall.

Ya Cali sucks when it comes to pot holes, good thing the MSP has great handling for try to dodge the damn things

You know I dodge every pot hole I see, I can never recall nailing a pot hole that hard, thats why I feel it's cause this tire is a piece of crap. I have Nitto Nt450's in the rear, and Potenza's S-03 pole postions up front, (the potenza's scrap if put in the back). I've already had to replace one nitto because of the same problem...

I just made a post about this same damn thing....

One NJ pothole took 2 of my Dunlops! Passenger Front and Rear. Couldn't swerve cause there was a Tractor Trailer next to me. It took me by surprise, but it didn't seem bad enough to take both tires as casualties!

I drive approx 300 miles a week, and I am usually good with the potholes...This time, it was night, it was damp, and it just happened!

yeah, if you think CA is bad...PA and NJ have got to be up there in the worst category...PA spends the most of any state on its roads, and continues to have the worst quality roads in the country...(though I have heard michgan is pretty bad too) :)

Hell, you think you guys got it bad...come on down to SE virginia. Our main highways are like you guys back-roads. They counted 16 potholes in one stretch on I264 right after the mid=town tunnel after the rains last week, it's worse than that most other places.

Well first I have 2 words for you well 3 ROAD HAZARD INSURANCE. Has saved me more than once. 2nd is imagine you own a set $5000 kinesis wheels and you have rubber band size 35 series tires and you hit a monster pot hole. I bent 2 lips on those wheels because of damn pot holes. One I was able to correct with a lead hammer and the other had to be professionally fixed. But I have seen people with almost a V put into their wheel because of pot holes. So I will say it one more time ROAD HAZARD INSURANCE.

In some states you can get the state to pay for the damage. Go take a picture of the pothole and figure out who to write to. Might be worth your time and effort!

Chris

I don't know where the pot hole is, I don't even remember hitting one, I think I'll just go find one near me and blame it on that one.

Been driving lowered cars with 35/30 series tires in cali for a long time and never encountered a pothole that killed my tire and wheel. LA has got to have the worst frickin freeways in the world. Stop daydreaming and watch the road. Real lowriders worry about their wheels even if they're drinkin and driving. No excuse for that unless you were forced into a pothole by a bigrig or something. Being alert is your rims best defense.

yea i hear ya, the pot holes out here suck. im on 35 series tires and i always catch myself swerving all over the damn road trying not to hit them. I lost a stock p5 tire, and a pirrelli to pot holes, thats over the course of 30k miles though, so ive done well.....
