The Caliber's 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is rated at a class-leading 285 horsepower, while its 265 pound-feet of torque is 15 lb-ft less than the Mazdaspeed 3. It redlines at 6,500 rpm and puts the power down through a six-speed transaxle driving the front wheels.

I don't know... On paper it seems like the MS3 will come out ahead...
I'd be interested to see these two battle it out on the drag strip and an autocross track; though I believe the MS3 will take the victory on the autocross track hands down...

I still think it's ugly, my car is not porky, and I'd kill one in a quarter mile in addition to beating it to 60mph. I'm not being mean, I don't know why they made this the performance option for Dodges. Seriously, what's next, the Sprinter SRT-4?! Gah; bring the Challenger already.
