CAI/SS install - extra parts needed?

I have an Injen CAI and Kartboy shifter coming this week. Is there anything I should need for installing these that doesn't come in the kits? ex: ball lube on shifter? I already have a pair of c-clip pliers. Also, does the Injen filter need oiled, is oil included, and does it have to sit and soak for long?

Nope, that's all you need

Filter is already pre-oiled

don't know about the kartboy, but for injen... the filter comes preoiled. you don't need anything other than plug and play. don't take off the front bumper for installation. just go at it either through the wheel well or underneath where the splash guard is for the foglight. there are a few "how-to's" on this site regarding the installation of the injen. if you can't find them, i'll see if i can help. other than that... good luck and have fun!

I have both mods and love them. I didn't have the c-clip pliers, you should be all set.

if your changing your shifter out you will need some lube for it. i cant remember which i got but just check the lube section at the auto parts store. when i get home ill check to see what i got it worked great.

Silicone lube perhaps.

Other then that I would think just a ratchet set and maybe some brake cleaner to remove dirt as needed.

Just got the shifter. postman forgot that mail slot was smaller at front than at the back, made the box a PITA to get out. shifter is alot smaller than I was expecting. I'll check TWM install directions for their lube suggestion also.

my B&M came with a tube of grease...but in any case i suggest making your life ten thousand times easier and purchasing a set of medium snap ring pliars for the short shifter install for like 3.99 i think it was from a local part store...the place where i do all my work has all the tools i need, but i figured i would check on the snap ring pliars anyhow...in any case, get yourself a pair or youll be cursing and flipping out.

I already have a pair that happen to be the same ones pictured in the guides. bought them to rebuild shocks on my rc cars. if you think the snap ring on the shifter is a pain, thy putting in rings that are less than 1/4" across and fold easier than a paperclip!
