no not really. i bet it performs the same. i havent had any problems with it for quite a while now. ur engine bay looks way more cleaner than miens fo sho.

lol. tru. nice job on the battery tie down. i had a huge problem with that Black metal bar holding the battery down. It almost took my life a few times.

Just to clarify for you guys, thegreat1x2002 is the only one here with a CAI. Every picture I have seen so far is of a SRI. And I had never had any problems with my Injen CAI. But the Ebay CAI I sold to MotegiMazda turned out to be a piece of s***. Maybe that is your guys' problem. You get what you pay for.

prolly so, but i modified mine from cai to sri and i am havin no problems so far.. so somthing with a foot more of tube screws up the cai..

The valve cover just says Ford but it's still a Mazda ZM-DE engine. At the local plant here I see Tributes and Escapes being made side by side just like the Proteges and Lasers.

damn that ford engine looks exactly like ours. i had a feeling that ford had soemthing to do with our cars.

it's just a different head cover. in australia we have the 323 series and the ford laser series. the BJ was sold in both lines. things which said mazda were changed for things that said ford.

hey i kno this topic is like real old..but can u guys please help me i wanna install a cai or a sri in my car i got a 1.5 familia and i am seeing like alot of trouble to do this..is this advisable an wud it make sense?? i tried gettin help from sum guys in the US buh it not helping as they only know about the 2.0 engines an they said that it is built differntly

an i have seen u guys do that in the pics u posted ..the main problem for me is the MAF an it looks like u used back the original MAF and modified the piping to take it help me please guys
