I realize some will be irritated by this post because it
is about CAI's but here goes.
I reported, on another post, after CAI install I had some worries. Not any more. Here some of my original concerns
and new feelings:
1.Low end power loss- I don't think so anymore. I think one
has to get on the gas a little harder, but then it pulls like
b****.
2.Flat spots in the power band- see above entry. I think a
large portion of the "smoothness" of the power band of
the MS is driver ability. You have to learn how best to
apply the ample power of the 3. It is a Beast at times.
(a little aside: My brother just purchased A BMW 335i
coupe- it is faster with a flatter torque curve- but just
a little " real world faster than the 3( do the research the
335i is cool)
3. concerned that I made a wrong turn with the CAI- not
anymore- It made a screamer of a car scream louder!
Thanks for all the responses on my earlier post- especially
to "SPEED3" for a particularly great response.
