CAI + DP & stock ECU?

Appears that some members are running a CAI + downpipe, with a stock ECU...no tune, no MBC. Can someone with that (or similar) configuration comment on the 'driveability' of their car? No issues, no boost spikes?

I'm considering such an upgrade path, with a custom tune (or AP alone--if maps become available), to follow at some future date. Basic question is; the stock ECU will safely accomodate a CAI + DP and possibly a race pipe?

Any info is appreciated.

I am running something close to that as you can see in my sig and I have zero issues accept for a smoking turbo which is being replaced by the dealer.

Aside from that its a strong combination and runs awesome with tons of power. Forget first and second since you can spin anytime you want and third can spin if you hit it right.
