C/F Trunklid Installed: Pictures!

Thanks all (hippy)

The wheels are 5Zigen MK-5's, with the TEIN S-Tech springs. 43 offset with a 35 series tire. I believe you can run taller tires with higher offset. But No rubbing at all with mine. I've had the wheel turned all the way just to make sure, hasn't touched once. And the back sits even higher, so I'm not worried about if people sit in the back.

Adjustments for the springs? Non, they ride and fit fine on stock struts. Took me and a friend a day to install them. I got them from Cullen @ http://www.**********.com

As for the Trunklid, it's from JSP and their is a thread about it in the group buy section.

And I'm going to leave the spoiler off completely.

Anyone want some APC tails? :p
Sorry, but I am gonna go back to your springs... I am looking at springs and I like the Tein S-Techs, how is the ride and about how much did they lower the car? about 1.5 in. is what i've read. Do you have any desire to get coilovers and go lower? I am going to stay with the racinghart wheels for now and I am curious if I should just get coilovers and not waste my time with the springs, but then again I don't want to drop my car that much so that is why I am looking at springs in the first place.

...oh, and at first it flew up, but I removed the metal rods that lifts the trunk up. So that isn't a problem anymore.
they are above the sub/amp enclosure correct?

I think a CF evo wing would look good... black tint, stock tails. Ehh im not feeling it, maybe it will grow on me.

goto a hobby store and get some tint spray paint..... and tint your lenses. You can always remove it with some rubbing alcohol if you don't like it.

Yes, the two rods right above the sub enclosure. 4 bolts and the whole thing comes off.

I love the springs, yes I would like it a little lower, but the ride is awesome. Not bouncy at all. If I had the money I would probably have gotten coil-overs.

thanks, now i just gotta drop the enclosure... or maybe I'll keep my wickedly quick trunk :)

Yeah, only bad thing about taking them out, is now the trunk doesn't stay open by itself. Oh well.

lookin pimptastic man, i noticed you are from MI, you wouldn't possibly be 1 of the (now 3 including mine haha) Laser Blue speeds rolling around E. Lansing would you?? my roomate keeps telling me about a blue speed rolling around with rims and some other stuff, i haven't seen it/you around tho :p...

anyway, the trunklid looks sweet, i wish i woulda/coulda got in on that GB...

Hey thanks alot. :) Nope, not me though. I'm in the Sterling Heights area.

Oh by the way, yes everyone was right, looks alot better with the stock tails back on.

if you wouldn't mind, could you throw some pictures up with the stock tails, and possibly even just *set* the wing on top of it (i'd want the wing on it)...

what are you going to do with your other tails since you have the stock ones back on? if you want to sell them i might be interested

I wish someone would make a CF trunk with a CF spoiler (as one piece). I posted a thread but no one was interest. I think it would look tight with an OEM looking CF trunk & spoiler in one.

ya, if someone made a stock(ish) CF spoiler, i'd get it as well, hopefully i'll have all my stupid finances worked out by this weekend and be able to get one of these trunk lids, looks sweet (thumb) with the stock tails its even better :D...

looks so much better with the stock lights. really nice . if anybody does find a cf trunk with spoiler be sure to post it.

thumbs up

i like the lid. where did you order it from and do you know if they like the p5 hatch in cf.
