Sorry to hear it, but I hope you enjoy your TC.
i love it so much (ture story) this silver msp was reving to me on kelloge sunday night i thought i was gonna get beat so we went from 60mph stuck it in 3rd and started pulling from him im thinking wtf why am i pulling from him i rolled down my window and asked hey u wanna do it from a dig he says shure the next light was red so we stoped light turned green so we took off i beat him off the line prety good and still started pulling from him i ended beating him by a car and half i dont think he knows how to dive i tought the msp's were faster?

Hmmmm.... I thought the MSP's were too... My roommate has a tC and we have played around a little at the strip. My MP3 can keep up with him through the end of 2nd, but after the switch to 3rd, he pulls on me. I figure that the MSP's would be faster than that.. I bet the guy didnt know what he was doing.
what year is your friends tc the 07's have the vvt-i and it helps out alot! i raced my friends 07 vs my mp3 and he just moped the floor with me thats what made me get 1. i know it was a msp beacse it had the wing and i herd a bov and i saw the cloud of black smoke up out of his tail pipe when u spooled up i dono im just mind boggled. i eaven raced a 88 conquest tsi and i beat him to. i also raced a saturen redline and beat him to. god it sounds like i run my car into the ground..... i did it all after my 1000 mile i just can stand some 1 reving up to me and me not raceing

His is an 06. I think they were all VVT-I (werent they?) @ 161 hp.

i raced him from a dig 40mph and 60mph and i still pulled from him each time i didnt here any miss shifts or any thing. i dono mabe all scion tc's have the vvt-i the dealer was telling me that they were haveing problems superchargeing the 07's beacse of the vvt-i or something i relly cant rember but they fixed the problem

First.. who really cares about the spelling and grammar? are we teachers? well maybe, but we're all definat gear heads.
Some people are afraid to hurt their cars and dont rev them up.. my cousin is like that, he's got a Cobalt SS Supercharged (remember the SS arnt always supercharged) when we race I take him in first to third, then he blows by me.. he should really be able to burn me off the start but he doesnt like reving his engine more then 5g hahahahaha
