decided to sell her... regret getting her over a 350z when i had the chance my buddy just bought a z and it pushed me over the edge im selling her... might be selling at least the forge bpv maybe the inlet as well pm me if interested

330 hp and still in the 5.5 range for 0-60 and to get any of the goodies you might as well get an EVO. They are sweet to drive though and look great. Have fun!

yeah im tired of having to check for boost leaks and all the crap that go's along with making sure a FI car is running well just gonna spray a 75 on a z thanks all probably the most mature and fun forum ive ever been on.. everyone should buy z's and we should make a forum together lol

I've thought about the same thing since I was looking for a RWD platform as well and the price on used 350z's is pretty good... same range as the MS3. The only thing I'd miss is the utility (cargo space) of the MS3.

the new 370 is actually in the mid to high 4 second range 0-60...and has rev-matching downshift

Yeah it's excellent performance bargain for the price if you can deal with a 2 setter with limited visibility and almost no room for cargo or if you already have a daily driver and use the Z just for the weekends and or track events. I'd take the new Evo over it.

370z is a whole different animal than the 350z :P

rwd platform...I would get 95-97 240sx and do rb25det or rb26dett..... skyline engine swap....

Yeah and then have it break every 2 weeks on you... XD NEVER seen a stable 240 swap. They are a pain in the ass to upkeep, heh. I would know, I had one :P

Well I hope you regret getting the speed 3 over the 370z instead of the 350. Looks aside the only thing going for the z is the RWD. Slightly more potential than our cars but you hit a wall where you have to go turbo to get any more power. Thats expensive! Not to mention the impracticality, little space, boring engine, cheapy interior. . . lol. As you can tell im not fan of the 350z. 370 is a different story though as has been said.

Just wondering but why do you check for boost leaks so often? Unless you have pretty much every mod available or an unlucky car. . . it shouldn't be a problem.

Stock evo 8/9 run 5 sec 0-60. 370z sounds like a beast but I dont believe it can beat a 300bhp AWD car to 60 especially with the weight disadvantage.

The special England tuned STI that was on top gear has like 420 bhp. It runs like 4.2 sec 0-60 if I can remember correctly. Thats with some super suspension too.

well facts aside it's really a person's preference as to which car they would rather have. i wouldn't want a Z because 2 seaters aren't practical for me right now. i also wouldn't want the new evo or the new sti because they are rediculously priced regardless of performance

and i'd also just like to say (and this isn't towards the member i quoted) i always think it's funny when one car is better than another in some way, EXCEPT when the other car is modded. for instance, the cobalt ss/tc is faster in 1/4 mile than the speed3, and then someone replies "well all you need is a cob sri and MM and a good driver"........and blah blah

so silly

yes it is!

this new beast should put up a good fight with my ms3

dont kid yourself. we'd lose to a 370Z, with no problem. when people get those things to the track. i bet you we will see a couple people dipping into high 12's..stock

Wow, why are so many concerned with 0-60 times? There's a whole list of things I'd consider before making a car purchase. For example, How about:

1. Driver comfort
2. Ergonomics
3. Trunk space
4. Features/ Amenities
5. Fit and Finish
6. Interior/ Exterior styling
7. Engine flexibility
8. Transmission
9. Steering feel
10. Brakes
11. Handling
12. Over all ride
13. Oh, and does it really make you happy, etc..

True, buts it's also silly to even compare the cars since the driver will determine the end result regardless due to how close they are stock (within a couple tenths). Also, some mags have the Cobalt faster and some have the MS3 faster. It just depends on who you chose to believe. Some also like to debate The RING time between the two and I can fully understand that argument considering the circumstance but it doesnt really matter. What matters is that your happy with what you got
