ok i am trading my car in and talked the local dealership down to 15800 for a brand new msp with 7miles on it 2003.5 in dark grey.. These were the demands i was going to ask and if anyone has anything else please let me know

- ecu flashed
- full tank of 94 gas
- remote for cd player
- oil changed.. since its been there since june
- rubber floor matts
- mazdaspeed floor matts

anything i should look out for? is 15800 a fair asking price? ha i just dont want to get ripped off! thanks

That's a great price for a new MSP!
It comes with the Mazdaspeed floor mats and kenwood remote so you aren't really asking for anything extra for those 2 points.

Ask them to go ahead and replace the rear sway bar bushings with series 'E'.

They sould already give you most of the things you listed - ECU, Full tank, CD Remote, MSP floor mats. Those are OEM specified parts - they must be with the car at time of sale or the dealer can be screwed if you complain- just let them know that - because your sales contract can be voided at any time because the dealership did not complete their agreed list of included items for the deal.

You should be able to get a lot of things if you do one thing- finish the deal except dont sign anything and say you will come back the next day-
they will do about anything to get you to buy the same day - thats when you give them the list. (headbang) - thats how I got $1000 of my speed- I told them thanks- I would be back on monday to pick the car up - they freaked out and said what would it take for me to take delivery today? I wolt them take a grand off and ill do it- basically they payed my taxes on the car except $64! (hump)
FWIW - I payed $14,780 for my speed a month ago - (it was "used" sold in october and had 4780 miles)

I would tell them that you want the 'E' bushings on the back and the 'A' bushings on the front. Also make sure to look for any coolant leaks before you take delivery *edit - although with 7 miles there won't be any*. I'd maybe ask for another 1k off too.....I mean the car is 1 year old already.

well yah those are stock componenets, but most dealers do the dont know and dont care type policy..

ive really haggled the dealerships around me and 15800 almost killed the one that is selling me the car. They are also giving me the upgraded mirror at cost, not that bad of a deal.. just hope i get everything and it is all settled...

anyway to tell that the car has been flashed? the dealer might try.. or it has already been flashed or the bushings were already installed on the car when it came new..

I thought I got the last TitGray in the NoVA/DC/MD area but I guess I was wrong. In fact, I even talked to the sales manager at Tysons Mazda (Rosenthal I believe) and he told me all he had left was Yellow, but anyways screw him, I hate rosenthal because Ive experience with them before and I seriously wont ever go to tysons corner to buy a car just because of that dealership.

Shouldve already be done.

Most dealerships give you a full 93, take that and be happy. 94 would be pushing it unless they take a seperate trip out to sunoco which I highly doubt they will.

....they dont even sell 94o gas in texas....im almost jealous.

the oil should have been changed by the dealership before they try to sell it as used. its one of their "certified used car checkmark" deals.

everything else should come with the car. good luck on the rubber floor mats tho. you should be able to haggle em in (i didnt even know they were made though, as they didnt have any for the p5's)

what happened at tysons? yah they had one that was a demo with 6500 k right, wanted to sell it to me for 18800, i was iffy until i found this site! and read what you all have payed. I went to marlow heights MD and over the phone stated i didnt want to pay no more then 16 and they agreed. Tysons corner is just closer, and tysons matched and beat them by 200$, still i am a bit iffy. Ove the past few weeks i grown to hate car dealerships... and receiving hte phone calls.... Hey how you doing? want to come in? all you have to do is come in and we can make this happen, come in, stop by... yaddah yaddah yaddah! I will tell you all what happens tonight!

Rosanthal is an iffy comapny. Rosenthal Nissan is the worst company to exist. dirtier then ENRON!!!!! however right next door is rosenthal Mazda and they are Awesome. This is in Gaithersburg by the way.

I also am at a Dealership here in Arlington that are A+ so far. they are doing work on my car as we speak. they also have 3 MSPs i think. Its off of Glebe and carlon springs road.

Bryan the service guy is great so far. they are mod friendly as well. they know what effects what and will not give s*** for a CAI or IC if it is not the problem! I talked to him!

the one is balston commens area? i went there they said they had NONE and would and could get me one for 17800 firm no less.... which mazda are you speaking of? i could always take my car for service there.. but i only thought the arlington was on a corner across from teh bc mall. thanks man..what work are you getting done to your ride btw

yeah Ballston Commons. Hmm they told me on friday they had like 3. maybe they ment they could get them. I am getting the bushings front and back replaced and having them check the steering column. it clunks a little when the car is still. if you jiggle the steering to the left it has some play and when it catches it clunks. probably not a big deal since under power it is fine but i just like my car tight! BTW Brian is the guy i am dealing with. he does alot for you as long as you give him 10 on his serveys!!!!
