Buying an RX-8

So Im looking to buy an RX-8...Ive already got one picked out. Its a 2005 and it has the Touring Package. Im new to the Mazda world. I was always a Honda guy. Is there anything I need to look out for. I heard that in the earlier models there were problems with fluids getting into the engine or something like that? Im trying to do my homework as best I can on it and I figured what better place than to get on a forum somewhere. All kinds of feedback will help me tremendously. Thanks

2.check your oil level,usally with every full tank
3.recomend the highest octane aval. in your area
