Ok asshole, I really hate arguing on the internet but you took it just a little too far. First, I will start by saying there is a reason the older members like YOU, the "know-it-all" members, are no longer around - they were mostly all arrogant bastards with little respect for people who may not have the privilege of having as much automotive knowledge as you do. Secondly - I am not one of those people who do not possess this knowledge. I have been here for over two years and while I'll admit I was quite the n00b at first I am far from that now. You insult my intelligence when you obviously just misread my post - I'm sorry, had you said something nicely I would have clarified.
For the record I am a graduating Aerospace engineering student - I have taken physics and classes based on physics - hell, physics itself is rather elementary. Yes, you arrogant asshole fluids are more viscous at lower temperatures. In fact, viscosity for a given material is solely dependent on its temperature! I don't need a ******* kitchen analogy to follow - hell, I didn't need anything.
If you had read one goddamned thing I had typed you would have noticed I was talking about lower viscosity oil when it was warmer out. Since you are so fond at quoted my older posts you should have noticed that my little smoking case was back in the middle of August when the temperature was well over 80 degrees. I said I was low on oil and all I had left was 5w30. Rather than go without oil I decided to use that. And yes, you arrogant ****, 5w30 is less viscous than 10w30 at start-up and because of this my car smoked heavily at start-up and while running cold. Yes, I'm aware my valve seals are probably worn - hell my car has 60,000 miles on it I'm pretty damned sure they're worn to some degree. I don't mind a little "puff" at start-up, in fact, my car rarely smoked at all anymore - it was just that one point and I failed to realize the cause at that time. I am aware it could be a gauge issue - in fact, I'm hoping it is! However, because I am usually too busy trying to obtain a degree and figure out where I will be working next year I don't usually have the time to go out and tear my car apart. I do however, plan on doing this soon as I am home on break. Concerning the oil pump - I have not read many cases of those failing here so I was merely asking a question - calm the **** down!
Now let's turn back to you. You complain about how all the old "valuable" members got banned. Sure, some of them were very useful and I can indeed credit my current knowledge to a host of them. However, as time progressed they become more arrogant and contributed less and less. Hell, most of them don't even own Mazdas anymore. If you can't get over a gripe with one admit/owner/whatever you don't deserve to be here. Hell, I don't agree with half the s*** Antoine does sometimes but you don't see me bitching in a thread like Brian MP5T, Kansei, Dexter, etc. Get over your ******* self. YOU are no longer valued here - you don't offer helpful information and you no longer respect other members. You insult those you think with lower intelligence and therefore you are no longer wanted. Sure, you may have made some helpful posts but they'll remain even when you don't. Have a nice day (eekfu)!
Cliffnotes: iracemine is an arrogant **** of an asshole. He considers himself far above anyone else who asks questions and goes out of his way to insult members he feels has lower intelligence than he. He picked on the wrong guy this time and took post of mine out of context to try to prove a point wasn't there. He could have been helpful but he decided to be an asshole. That is all.
