hahahaa, my wife is pissed becasue she used to love hootie and the blowfish and when she saw darius rucker did a BK commercial she wanted to cry. i laughed.

I think whoever is doing the BK commercials is on a "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" acid trip! The Hootie/Brooke commercial takes the cake, but the other one (with the "king" in the guys backseat) is really creepy. I'd freak the f**k out if I had some guy that doesn't talk in my backseat with a plastic mask when its dark out!! LOL!!!

The Hootie commercial is umm odd to say the least kinda catchy though I can't remember the words n stuff but I mean it did kinda make me want to go eat a dead cow..and I guess thats the point

I can't believe they did that to "big rock candy mountain" That's an old bluegrass song.

FYI . . . This song was on the https://www.amazon.com (commissions earned) soundtrack which won the Grammy for Album of the Year, a great boost for Bluegrass music. A great film by the talented Coen brothers.

I was surprised as well that they used "Big Rock Candy Mountain." I used to listen to the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack all the time. But, it fits the commercial w/the new lyrics. My grandfather loves bluegrass and it was one of the songs he used to listen to all the time.

My question is, all this Hootie, but what happened to the Blowfish?
